Laurelhill is an 11-18 Community College situated in attractive, open surroundings. The educational aim of the College is to develop to the fullest extent the personal, social and academic excellence of every pupil attending the College. Modern learning and teaching facilities include Science laboratories, a Home Economics Suite, Technology and Design workshops, a Business Education Suite, an Information and Communication Technology Centre, Drama and Music workshops, an Art and Design Block, a College Library and a Sixth Form Centre. There are well-equipped classrooms for the teaching of English, Mathematics, French, History, Geography and Religious Education. Excellent facilities are available for a wide range of sporting activities including a large sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite and extensive grass playing fields and all-weather pitches adjacent to the main College buildings. The Laurelhill Sports Zone is a significant development in the College's links with the local community. Pupils have access to the new, floodlit, synthetic playing surface and changing facilities, developed in partnership with Lisburn City Council and the South Eastern Education and Library Board. |
